I don’t know how to say this or describe how I felt when I received the news that Brett was gone. This is what Brett meant to me; after Chase was killed, November 29, 2018, Brett looked for me and would ask about me and after he found me, he just stood there, he didn’t say anything, he just opened his arms and I went in. He hugged me so tight….as I begin to cry, he pulled me away and said, we’re in this together, and he cried with me. I’m here if you need anything, he said. Then after my mentor died, October 20, 2020, Brett again looked for me, he hugged me and we cried together. I’m here for you Vinny. Then after my father died, December 23, 2020, Brett again looked for me and again we hugged and cried. Then after my mother died, March 27, 2021, again Brett looked for me, he gave me this big bear hug. Vinny, you’ve been through a lot, you’ve suffered many loses in a short period of time, he said, please take care of yourself. If you need to talk, have a drink or just shoot the breeze, please call me, I’m here for you. I love you brother, he said…. Brett was genuine and real and I felt it. May condolences to Brett’s family, Anna, Anthony, and his friends. I will miss him. Rest in peace and God bless you my friend. Love you too, Vinny
