Chief Czech came to the Midland Police Dept in 1987. I remember him as being a get the job done type of guy, but very personable. He did what others were afraid to do, bring the police dept into the 21th century, by seeking out and moving us into a new, state of the art building, befitting a quality caliber dept that he made us. I pray for Karen and his family, and may he Rest in Peace.

Sally and I extend our sincere condolences to the Czech family. Chief Czech was an outstanding person, mentor, professional, and police chief. The City of Midland (TX) was blessed to have been served by Chief Czech. He did many things to improve the police department and the city in general. His ethics, character, and leadership were impeccable. Chief Czech will always be remembered for his tenacity, determination, and successes. Rest in Peace Chief. John Urby
