Obituary of Marie Taylor Funk

Marie Taylor Funk passed away on May 10, 2021.

Born on December 17, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois.

Marie was preceded in death by George, her

husband of 45 years: married October 11, 1969 at St.

John’s Catholic Church in Tucson, Arizona. Survivors

include her daughters Carol Sissac, Sandra Sissac

(James), Barbara McCoy, and son Joseph Jackson.

Marie completed Junior College in 1965. She then

left the vicious winters of Chicago to settle in Tucson

in 1966, attended Pacific Oaks College in Pasedena,

California and the University of Arizona. Marie retired

in 1984 from the Dept. of Economic Security as a

Social Service Worker. She and her husband traveled

extensively for more than twenty years. Funeral

services will be held at Adair Funeral Home, 1050 N.

Dodge Blvd., Tucson at  11:00am on  MAY 20,2021 .

Services will be conducted by Deacon Nick De La

Torre. Internment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery

on North Oracle Road, in the Chapel of the Nativity

Mausoleum.
