Obituary of Helen Frances Dominguez

Born in Phoenix on 29 October 1962, passed away 18 March 2021, in her home in Tucson, Arizona. Helen is preceded in death by her father Frank Gorraiz, mother Etta Mae McMorris and brothers, Jerry and Carl Gorraiz. She is survived by her husband Joe Dominguez, sons Joe Jr., Jace; sisters, Debora Skyberg and Rebecca McClanahan; many loving nieces and nephews; and the numerous friends she made over the years.

      Helen graduated from Tolleson Union High School in 1980 and Phoenix College in 1983.

      Helen and Joe were married February 14, 1986, in Phoenix, Arizona and moved the same year to Marana, Arizona, then into Tucson in 1989. Helen served as an officer in the Family Support Group for the 1/285th AHB of the Arizona Army National Guard, and received a Meritorious Service Medal for her service. Helen worked for Kelly Services for many different companies located in Tucson. She began her job at Pima County in 1999 and last worked as a Finance Analyst Principal CF.

       Helen was always full of life, and loved with all her heart. We will miss her humorous, kind, caring and generous nature.  We are thankful that she didn’t suffer and left us at peace. Though the hole in our hearts and the agony in our souls feels as if they’ll never heal, her kindness and generosity will forever carry us through our suffering in her absence.  We will try to hold on to one of your favorite sayings, “Suck it up, buttercup.” It will take us time but we will.

We will love you forever. This isn’t  goodbye;  so until we see you again, rest easy and save us a spot!

There will be a Visitation from 1-4pm on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, with Memorial Service starting at 2pm.
