Martha,
I really enjoyed the e cards you sent me from Jacquie Lawson. Something so simple, but beautiful, would tell an animated story. Along with the music and scenery, it would deliver a message on how beautiful life is if we take the time to appreciate what we have.
You sent many e cards with different themes that showed your love for my family during our difficult time in life. I saved one in my folder that will always be with me. Just like you will. A smile will always be on my face when I open it, knowing it came from you and the true meaning behind its message makes it special.
Having been apart for many years, we never stopped loving each other. Our telephone conversations were sometimes brief but we always talked about family-our most precious gift.
You will be missed and I admire how tough you were battling this terrible disease. You showed us all to never give up the fight.
Take care, Liz, and say “hi” to all our family and friends in Heaven.
Love,
Bird

Martha has been my sister-in-law for over 42 years. I am married to her youngest brother, Jim (Bird). I remember the first time I met her. Bird and I were high school sweethearts. We had walked over to his house after school and Martha was home from college studying for her state board exams to become a dental hygienist. She asked me lots of questions, including my plans for after graduation. She was always interested in others and what they were doing. Years later, after she and Bob moved to New Hampshire and later to Arizona, we always kept in touch. She was always interested in what we, our kids, and later, the grandkids were up to and she was excited to update us on what was going on with her, Bob and their family.
In the past few years, as Martha was battling cancer, she and Bird became very close. I have never seen anyone fight as hard as she did to overcome this terrible disease. They leaned on each other this summer as we unexpectedly lost our oldest son in July at 35 years old and she realized that she wasn’t going to win her battle.
Our hearts are broken for Bob, Kevin & Haley, Ryan & Breeana, Jordan & Keara and the grandkids. Although we wish it would have happened while she was with us, she is now healed. Rest In Peace, Martha.
Love,
Kathy

Bill and I met Liz and Rob when we moved into our Canyon Lake home. Living right next door, we became fast friends and enjoyed so many summer time activities. We loved sitting and watching the boats on the lake, floating on our own boats, going to concerts in Temecula wine country, and eating at our favorite restaurant Vincenzo’s.
Liz was one of the strongest woman we had ever had the pleasure to know and so very talented with her paintings. She painted a beautiful beach scene and gave it to us as a “Thank You” gift. We will always treasure that painting!
God Bless you sweet friend and may you rest in the arms of the Angels!

Liz was part of our weekly art class. We met every week for years to paint and talk. Our class was more than art, it was a safe place to share your feelings. Liz spoke often about her friends, but especially spoke about her love for Rob, and her children, and grandkids. Both of our kids worked at Raytheon, so we had a lot in common. I would babysit Their dog Misha when Rob and Liz would go on their cruises. We all looked forward to Her birthday, and other holidays because she would bring in delicious deserts. She was a very talented artist, and baker. Sweet Liz, you will be missed by all of us in art class. My Condolences to Rob, the boys, and grandkids.
