Obituary of John Lowell Mogren
John Lowell Mogren, a long term Tucson resident, passed away on January 10, 2021 at the age of 87 following a lengthy illness and complications from COVID.
John was born on September 2, 1933 in New London, Minnesota. After graduating high school he joined the Army and served in the Korean conflict from 1953-56. He moved to Tucson in 1967 and was a letter carrier with the US Postal Service for 29 years (from 1968 - 1997). During his years in Tucson, he was an active member of Northminster Presbyterian church, the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC Branch 704) and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW Post 7).
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra, 2 sons (Scott of Portland, OR and Todd of Vail, AZ), 2 daughters (Nancy of Tucson and Jill of Vail, AZ), 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
