Obituary of Shirley Lou Stewart
Shirley Lou Stewart, 84, passed away in Tucson, Arizona on December 4th, 2020. Shirley was born on October 9, 1936 in Syracuse, New York, to Shirley Erwin Riddell and Muriel Olive Ryder. She graduated from Split Rock High School in Syracuse, N.Y. and worked in the Syracuse area. During her life, she enjoyed camping, bowling, dancing, and golfing but most of all, Shirley enjoyed her many years as a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, singing in the church choir and preparing the church bulletin.
Shirley started working at Easy Bargain Center as a cashier where she met Don, and later worked at Crucible Steel Co. in Syracuse NY, for over 18 years in Office Administration. She married Donald Stewart on March 30, 1974 and they remained in Syracuse until 1993, when they both retired and moved to Tucson, Arizona. Shirley was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and dear friend. Shirley will be missed by her family and many wonderful friends. She was survived by her husband Donald Stewart until his passing on December 5, 2020. They were married for 46 years.

4 Daughters: Cynthia Richert of Tucson, AZ, Brenda (Dan) Luoma of Mary Ester, FL, Marsha Richway of Syracuse, NY, and Donna (David) Huffman of Sneads Ferry, NC.
13 Grandchildren: Stacia Taylor, Erik Luoma, Tammi Olds, TJ Bowe, Diane Williams, Joseph Richway, Jessica Donaldson, Andrew Richway, Todd Holes, Vanessa Richway, Tyler Holes, Brittany Richway and Jasmine Thompson 27 Great-grandchildren, 2 Great-great-grandchildren, and many wonderful nieces & nephews.
10 Sisters: Carol McBride of E. Syracuse, NY, Georgia Miller of Tucson, AZ, Nancy Jones of Tucson, AZ, Hollis Gullian of Deland, FL, Kathy Bohemier of Brooksville, FL, Susan Supley of New Port Richey, FL, and Judy Hooper Lee of Old Forge, PA. Deceased sisters: Barbara Pascarella, Jean Cornell and Patty Collins.
Shirley is now in Heaven, together with Don and their precious dog Krista. Thank you Shirley, for sharing your life with all of us. We will miss you! God bless you always.
Funeral Service will be held at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Date to be determined.
She will be buried together with Don at The Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at Marana.
