I started at Authur Andersen & Co in Detroit in December 1967. Ed became a partner the next year and was one of the most admired partners - both because he was brilliant and because he cared about everyone. I moved on to a bunch of different positions over the intervening years but followed Ed's many contributions. I worked for the AICPA (twice) and could see that Ed was always making a positive difference in the lives of so many. I am very sorry to learn of his passing and wish his family the best in their grief.
