I met Jackie in 1986 and through all these many years she has always been one of the most positive, loving, helpful, and devoted people I've ever met. She dedicated herself to service and orchestrated many of our meditation group's activities as well as volunterring in the Tucson community. Jackie was both brilliant and patient. Several times we gathered together to watch a documentary on Earth's binary solar system and Jackie would let us pause the film so she could explain it to us. I deeply regreat not filming Jackie doing this as much of it is still beyond our understanding. I will be ever grateful to have known Jackie, an earth angel. I send my heartfelt condolences to her family.

We're deeply saddened to learn of Jackie's passing. But at the same time we're so grateful to have known her through our colleague Tom. Each time we saw them together we were struck by Jackie's warmth, humor, and uplifting spirit, and by the deep, inspiring bond that she and Tom so clearly shared. Even if Jackie is gone, it brightens our morning to think about her! We send our condolences to Tom and to Jackie's and Tom's sons and families.
With deepest sympathy,
Letizia & Mark

One of my favorite people has left the world with no warning, but leaving a legacy of kindness and caring that I will treasure.
Jackie's wisdom, intelligence and humanity have meant more to me over the many years of our friendship than I can express in a short notice. Her ability to listen and help will be sorely missed, as will her humor and enthusiasm..
Alison adds: "If anyone asks, I am forever grateful to Jackie for so many reasons. The big one was that she trusted me with her house when out of town. She never took it for granted.
Anne adds: She always made me feel comfortable and hopeful.
Jackie, we love you.

Jackie was the angel of Tucson Meditation Group who lived her faith everyday by her words and actions. Her presence uplifted everyone.
She never said a negative word and the word “service” could have been her motto. She first welcomed me warmly to the group when we moved to Tucson and later, she and Tom helped me at the hospital when my husband Dave died suddenly. We served on several Tucson Meditation Group committees together and I cherish the memories of her quiet humor, her friendship, and the time (and lunches!) that we spent together. I am so grateful to have known such a beautiful soul.

Jackie was the first person I met when I entered the doors of the Tucson Meditation Group in July of 2016. Her welcoming smile and friendly manner helped me feel at home right away. She was the Greeter that day and later I became one too because her example made it so apparent to me how important that first impression is. I will miss my fellow devotee, Jackie. She will always be a glowing representative of the beauty that exists in every soul if we but let it shine! ( Photo from TMG Fall Retreat 2018)

How blessed to have known beautiful soul, Jackie. Sincere condolences to the family and, at the same time, a smile comes to me as I feel Jackie’s warmth and see her smiling, back in the embrace of the Divine joy she shared so graciously with all.

Jackie Kinman was a dear friend of mine for many years. She was an inspirational member of our local meditation group, and someone that I found I could count on for thoughtful and caring conversations. She possessed an intelligent mind, a warm and caring heart, and an honest spirit. Together we worked on many projects for the meditation group, too many to mention, and it was always a joy to be around her gentle humor and joyful smile. I always found myself happier for having spent time with her. I will miss those times, and her friendship, as I know many others will. God Bless you Jackie, thank you for having been a part of our lives.

Jackie and I shared so many times together. I taught piano to both Mike and Jackie and Larry and I encouraged them to get a grand piano. She and I spent many working hours with hospice. We read books and enjoyed sharing them with each other. We got into SRF together and Mike was so cute meditating with us. We loved eating out. So many memories. She was my friend for 45 years and I will always cherish her as the remarkable, loving woman she was. I will miss her but know that she is with her friend, beloved God. Love to all the family. Jackie always seemed so wonderfully cheerful - in recent months we used to see her smiling face with Tom on the Monday morning Zoom get together of the [old NOAO] Tucson astronomers' coffee-clatch. And I also appreciated her and Tom graciously hosting holiday luncheons for those of us still around town. She will be missed.

Kim & I send heartfelt condolences to Jackie’s family, and to all her spiritual family in SRF. She will be greatly missed. Jacki was the most fun, the most sweet, the most caring friend. We led a memorial service and she read this passage from the Bhagavad Gita with such heart-felt understanding and compassion, that it brought people to tears. This is from The Song Celestial, translated by Sir Edwin Arnold.
There Is No Death!
The wise in heart mourn not for those that live, nor those that die, Nor I, nor thou, nor anyone of these, ever was not, nor ever will not be, forever and forever afterwards. All that doth live, lives always! As there come infancy and youth and age, so come there raisings-uo and laying-down of other and of other life-abodes, which the wise know, and Fear not.
Indestructible learn the hell
Indestructible learn thou! The Life is, spreading life through all. It cannot anywhere, by any means, Be anywise diminished, stayed, or changed. But for these fleeting frames which it informs With Spirit deathless, endless, infinite, they perish..... He Who shall say “Lo! I have slain A man!”
He who shall think, “Lo! I am slain!” Those both know naught! Life cannot slay. Life is not slain.
Never the spirit was born; The spirit shall cease to be never. Never was time it was not, End and beginning are dreams! Birthless and deathless and changeless remaineth The spirit forever. Death hath not touched it at all, Dead though the house of it seems!
I say to thee, weapons reach not the Life; Flame burns it not, Waters cannot o’whelm, Nor Dry winds wither it. Impenetrable, unentered, unassailed, unharmed, untouched, Immortal, all-arriving, stable, sure, invisible, ineffable, Byword and thought uncompassed, ever all itself— Thus is the Soul declared! How wilt thou, then—knowing it so— Grieve when thou shouldst not grieve? How, if thous hearest that the man new-dead is, like the man new-born, still living man—-One same existent Spirit—wilt thiu weep?
Aswin one layest his worn out robes away, and taking new ones sayeth, “ These will I wear today!”
So putteth by the spirit lightly it’s garb of flesh, and passeth To inherit a residence afresh.
