We are so saddened with the passing of our beloved Mr. Loren Hamlin that no words can describe how an amazing person he was! He and his lovely families had always been so kind, generous and warm in welcoming us to their family’s home, events and treated us like their immediate family. We had spent countless Thanksgivings & Christmas with them that Kaitlyn was blessed to get to know him quite well since she was 2 years old.
The last Christmas eve in 2018 that we were there, Mr. Hamlin told us there was a deer in their front yard near their garage. So, we all had to be very very quiet and tiptoeing to go see it; otherwise, we’d scare it away. Therefore, being so curious as if we never saw a deer before, we 5 adults & 1 teen were quietly tiptoeing to the garage from inside of the house, even trying to hold our breathe. Once at the garage door, Mr. Hamlin waited till everyone gathered together and with low voice asked, ‘Ready?!’ We all nodded silently, afraid to make noises that scared the deer. Then, he opened the door quietly and led us out to the spot where the deer was. There it was!! Stood still eating grass on the ground. It was not moving, not even caring about its surrounding including us! And,... its body was so bright with all the lights!!! Suddenly everyone burst into laughter once we realized it was Dasher the reindeer!!! It was always there every Christmas holiday and we had never had that kind of excitement to see Dasher before that night!... That’s one of our great memories of him that we will always treasure forever!!
Rest in peace in Almighty God’s Eternal Kingdom, Mr. Hamlin. You’ll be missed dearly and forever!!

I’m so blessed to know you throughout my life, Grandpa Hamlin! You were really fun to be with, and I will embrace the memories of spending all of the Christmases and Holidays with you.
When I was younger, you would turn on the Dancing Santa and danced with me, and I loved it. You lifted me up high and showed me how your cuckoo clock worked when it's time for it to sing and dance! I will cherish all of the memories, and I am thankful for all the opportunities you took to spend quality time with me.
Thank you, Grandpa Hamlin, for all your love and kindness to me. You will be forever in my heart.
Love,
Kaitlyn B.

Dear Uncle Loren.......I will miss you and everything about you. In my distant memories, you took me on my first ferris wheel ride when I was very young along with Dirk....I was terrified but in a good way. When you and the family would come back to Indiana for a visit I wouldn't be able to wait until we got together with you and the family. This continued until the last visit Janice and I had with you and Aunt Marge. Your stories of your siblings when young were so interesting and many I had never heard before. You were the last and it saddens me to know there will be no more stories for awhile until I see you again along with my Mom and the rest of the family. I love you so much. Rest now, peace and love.

Dearest Dad:
It's the hardest time for all of us to say goodbye to you. You were the best Father in law I could hope for, you welcomed me in your warm embrace the first time I met you, in my 20 years knowing you, you taught me a lot as I came from the other side of the world, you helped me how to adapt my life here, you showed me Orion, Saturn and more planets on the sky. You told me about your plant's names and we talked a lot about the exotic plants you were interested in. You told the stories and jokes about your kids when they were little. You frequently let me know that I was your daughter, not a daughter in law, for this I'm forever grateful.
Goodbye Dad, you will be deeply missed. And... we will say your name whenever we eat your favorite lemon pie.
Rest in peace Dad and we love you
Imelda Hamlin
