Deepest sorrow to the Keith Johnson family on the loss of your beloved. Keith was our brass ensemble coach at U of A, circa 1978-1980, and suffered through many rehearsals of quintets and larger. He gave me a conducting opportunity on a concert , for which I was grateful, as not many of my professors and beyond were so generous. He and his student, Christine, introduced me to the Verne Reynolds etudes, which I learned on the trombone, transposing down a 5th, so I could play them with her. Lots of great memories, may he Rest In Peace.
