To Sandy's family. i wrote this and posted on Facebook, and will repost here - i am so sorry for your loss. Sandy was a dear friend and colleague for many many years. She meant so much to so many of us at Beth David
We lost a wonderful person and a dear, dear friend of mine – Sandy Silver. I met Sandy when I was a young pup trying to make my way in the world. I had a young son, and had just been laid off…when I was hired by Al Guggenheim – in large part because we went to the same synagogue. Sandy became an admin on my team and a trusted advisor to me in my new role. She was the president of our synagogue when I joined the Board of Directors and we became even closer as we worked through the myriad issues of managing Beth David. Most importantly, she became a lifelong friend.
In recent years, after I moved out of the Bay Area, I would only see Sandy when I came to Beth David for the holidays. She always had a hug; always asked how we were doing; and always wanted an update on my two sons. She was a very special person to many people, and I consider myself blessed to have been part of her life, and for her to have been part of mine. We will miss you, but Sandy – we will never forget you.
