Obituary of Ronald Wayne Copeland
Heaven has a new Angel!! On the afternoon of June 30, 2020, Ronald Wayne Copeland of Tucson, AZ, passed away at the age of 64 @ 3:45 P.M. at Tucson Medical Center.
He was born to Rev. Z.Z and Mattie Copeland in 1956. He attended Cholla High School and Pima Community College where he studied Air Conditioning/Heating and Cooling. He worked for a short period of time at University of Arizona.
Ron played football and wrestled at Cholla High School. He sang in the youth choir at Phillips Chapel C.M.E Church. He loved singing and dancing at home to songs like “You got me going in Circles” by Luther Vandross; “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones; and the theme song “Have Gun-Will Travel” from the hit TV series Paladin from the early 1960s.
Ron is preceded in death by his Father, Rev Zollie Copeland, Mother, Mrs. Mattie Copeland, Brother, Clement Copeland and his wife Naomi Copeland. He is survived by Brother, Harold Copeland (Joette), Sister, Deborah Copeland, Brother, Fred Copeland (Cheryl), Brother, Zollie Jr (Lannette), and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and a host of Cousins.
Ron was born on March 1, 1956. He peacefully took God’s hand on June 30, 2020.
