I have lots of great memories surround by the holidays with Wilma. I found these two pics from a thanksgiving and a Christmas. She will be greatly missed.

Both Darlene & Doug spent many happy hours with Wilma & her good friend Alice. Upon moving to Tucson in early 1993 Doug became one of the girls & proud to be part of this dynamic trio. We all did many things together including traveling, hiking, sharing volunteering at AZ Theater Company, playing cards, bird watching & so much more. We always took a drive up Mt Lemmon in October to enjoy the beautiful Autumn leaves after which we would go to Alice's cabin for lunch, cards & even a few brews. Wilma you added so much to our lives & will always be in our hearts.

Julie and Ross – I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your families. I have lots of memories of hanging out with your family during our younger days.
Even though it’s been a long time since I’ve seen or spoken with your mom, her influence lives on in my life. My favorite memory of her comes from when she was beginning to do color analysis. This was (and may still be) a system designed to help folks pick out the most flattering shades of colors to wear based on their complexion, hair color etc. The categorization was by seasons – Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Anyway, Wilma was showing me how it all worked – she would drape a couple of different shades of a color up against my face and I could see how the differences either enhanced my complexion or didn’t. At one point, she picked up a lime green color and was beginning to hold it up. I stopped her and said “Oh no, you probably don’t need to bother with that one. Definitely not my color. I cannot wear green, especially that shade.” (I swam a lot - if you remember Tucson swimming in the 70’s – there was lots of sun, chlorine and public pools with the occasional wacked-out pH. This meant that sometimes I would get a greenish cast to my hair.) At any rate, Wilma just smiled and looked at me and held it up anyway. Of course, it looked the best of all the green shades. Of course, it was my color. It’s been decades since that happened, and I still remember her look of thoughtful bemusement while she patiently waited for me to come to the right answer myself. To this day, every time I see that that shade of green and every time I wear that color, I think of your mom, give her a bit of silent thanks, and smile.
Warm regards,
Mary Davis
