Obituary of Gail Leslie Cole
Gail L. Cole, 70, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away June 19, 2020, in the company of family and friends at her home. Gail was born August 10, 1949, in Tucson to Marvin “Ozzy” and Shirley Osborn. After high school, she traveled the world as a military spouse and found her passions in breeding and showing cats and raising her children. Gail eventually came back to Arizona and married the love of her life, Ed, who also loved her new passions, breeding and showing Nigerian Dwarf goats and Australian Shepherds. She especially loved spending time with and training her service dogs. Never wanting to be the center of attention, Gail was commonly found behind the lens of a camera capturing special and beautiful moments with her family, pets, and the desert.
Gail is survived by her children from her first marriage: Amanda (Randy) Tyndall, Nicole (Brian) Sonnleitner, Carreen Cole, Kathleen Young, and Chance Maggard as well as 12 grandchildren: Nathan, Faith and Abigail Tyndall; Brianna, Julia, and Andrew Sonnleitner; Tanner, Wyatt, Barrett, and Morgan Young; Ava Lantz-Rudnicki and Hailey Lantz-Maggard. She is also survived by stepchildren from her second marriage: Chris (Kristine) Cole, Andrea (Herb) Teal, Mark Cole, Amy (Jim) Garrett, Allison (Tony) Morris, and Michael Cole, and 10 step-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all, including her dogs Derby and Chai and her cat Joey. Gail was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ed Cole, her sister Laurie Journa, her grandson Ethan Young, and her parents.
