Melony Webb

Obituary of Melony Webb

Melony Webb passed away quietly in her home on June 14, 2020.  She is celebrating in Heaven with her parents, sister and grandson.  Keeping her alive in our hearts here are her beloved husband of 42 years, Ben Webb; and children, Leesa Van Zandt, Steven Currie, Paul Webb and Beth Herman. Missing her greatly are her grandchildren, Katherine Wells, David Herman and Lars Van Zandt IV.  Also beloved by her niece, great grandchildren, cousins and many other family and friends.

Melony was born on November 12, 1948 in Gulfport, Mississippi.  She graduated from West Lauderdale high school in 1966 with a “Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow” award which was a great honor.   She lived in Mississippi until the family moved to Arizona in 1982 to join her sister’s family.

During her wonderful and happy life with her family, she enjoyed so many interests. There are great family memories of campouts, BBQ’s, picnics and family meals (she was an awesome cook!).  Melony’s greatest accomplishment was being a wonderful homemaker, devoted wife, mother, aunt and grandmother and instilling faith in her family.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and church friends.  Melony absolutely loved holidays and each one was a celebration!  One of her earlier hobbies was macramé.  She was also interested in art and art devotionals.  Melony had a great love of reading, shoes and sparkly things.

Most important out of all of these things was her great faith and love of our Lord.  She encouraged and inspired the family in our own faith.  As Christians, we rest in the comfort of our Salvation, and will hold and keep Melony Webb in our hearts until we are reunited in Heaven.

There are two services scheduled.  The first service is a viewing from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM and service following until 11:00 on Tuesday, June 23rd at Adair Funeral Home.  The second is an internment service at 9:00 AM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary.  Our family welcomes anyone who would like to celebrate the life of our beloved Melony at any or all services.
