Obituary of Daisi Sue Smith
Daisi Sue Smith April 25,2005- April 29,2020
When Daisi was born at 6:27 a.m., the sun had just poured honey over the Tucson mountains. My love was simply a combination of light and the sweetness of honey, a living metaphor of a beautiful sunrise.
Daisi was born into the world a mustang, galloping around at her own pace as she galloped around the soccer field throughout her years.
Daisi was such a horse enthusiast. In California, Daisi worked at Square Peg Equestrian Center and groomed all types of breeds. She led and instructed autistic kids on trail rides to help others find their own relief and confidence while riding horses. Daisi had aspirations to work full time there and hated from being pulled away from those horses in California being such a free spirit herself.
Daisi was so in tune with nature, as she loved camping and collecting campfire wood with her Dad and little brother, Aiden. We built pine-scented fires in the Redwoods that touched the heavens and would say how we "loved the other more than all the stars in the sky." Her compassion was that combination of sweetness and light...
On our last trip to Tahoe, she boldly dove in those cold, crystal clear waters and never looked happier rising out of the water to meet the sunlight. Daisi's smile and laughter was that combination of sweetness and light that will be forever mourned and deeply missed. As your Hello Kitty doll still says, "Hey Princess, Daddy and Hello Kitty love you very much. Sweet Dreams."
