Obituary of James Eugene Barkman
James Eugene Barkman (lovingly known as Scooter) was born in Tucson, Arizona
on November 22, 1970. He passed away March 17, 2020 at Tucson Medical Center
at the age 49 years young. He was a family man and accomplished in 49 years
what many have tried lifetimes to accomplish. He served courageously as a
firefighter and paramedic for 22 years until deciding to switch to a new
trade. He thrived as a well-known electrician, employed by Sturgeon Electric. He
was known for his love and guidance, as well as his horseplay and pranks. He
always made his own path and was always willing to be the first one to do
something. He was a man of boundless potential and never strayed from a
challenge, accomplishing whatever he set as his goals. He was truly a
generous and caring individual and made the unselfish decision to be an
organ donor. He is helping people and saving lives in death as he did in
life. Scooter is predeceased by his grandfather Carson Gerken. He is survived
by his two children Adam and Sam Barkman, his mother Jeannie White (Larry),
his sister Jennifer Barkman, uncle Randy Gerken, grandmother Mary Lou Gerken and many more relatives and friends.
