Obituary of Lloyd O. Busching

Lloyd Offutt Busching, Jr. November 19, 1938 - March 2, 2020 Lloyd Offutt Busching Jr., 81 passed away on March 2, 2020 at home in Tucson, AZ. He was born in Washington, D.C., November 19, 1938 to Lloyd Busching, Sr. and Dorothy Marie King Busching both parents preceded him in death. His brother Burton J. Busching preceded him in death June 4, 2019. Lloyd was a loving husband to Lynda T. Busching for 41 years. Loving father of six children. Robert Chapman (Robyn) Becky Jones (Gil) Joseph Busching (Kim) , Ruthann Olmstead, Linda Busching and Tammy Durr. He was also known as "PawPaw" to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loved by his two Brother-in-laws David Tooley, James Tooley (Lea Anne), Sister-in-law Brenda Tooley and Mother-in-law Christine Tooley. Lloyd was in the Navy two years before joining the Navy Reserves. He had a total of 32 years of service. He was always willing and ready to go when called for flights. Every time he passed the exam for advancement there were no slots open, he said he didn't care about rank advancement he just wanted to serve. He was a pressman and worked at the Bureau of Engraving and printing in Washington, D.C.. He retired in 2003 and moved to Tucson. He was a member of Desert Springs Baptist Church where he served a term as a trustee. He enjoyed helping build the new church building and learned so much about construction, operating a lift and fork lift and did clean up detail at the end of the day. Most of all he was gifted to be a prayer warrior. If you had a need or worry he would faithfully pray for you. He enjoyed his retirement years spending it with his family, traveling and serving others. He touched so many lives and he will be missed. We would like to thank Traditions Health for their excellent staff that showed so much compassion not only to Lloyd but to each family member. Avalon Adair Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Services will be Monday, April 13 at Desert Springs Baptist Church 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. service at the Marana Veteran's Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers donations in honor of Lloyd Busching may be made to the building fund or missions fund at Desert Springs Baptist Church 10425 N. Thornydale Road, Tucson AZ 85742.
