Obituary of Dolores Faulk

Beloved mother Dolores Smith Faulk passed away in Tucson, AZ, on Sunday, February 2, 2020, after a long battle with dementia. She was born on December 15, 1937, in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey, to James and Gertrude Smith. She graduated from Egg Harbor High School and completed her nursing education at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, receiving an RN license. While there, she met her husband of 58 years, Dr. Arthur Faulk, a resident at the hospital. Dolores and Arthur had seven children, all boys. She left a nursing career to care lovingly and fiercely for her sons. She was a passionate homemaker, gardener, and was a volunteer member, serving on several community and educational boards. She leaves six living sons - Arthur Jr., Dr. Mark, Joseph, Christopher, Daniel, and Matthew. She also leaves two siblings, Lavenia Walker and Lawrence Brantley, along with Cora Ingrum, a sisterly cousin. Her husband, Dr. Arthur Faulk, passed away in 2016. Her son David preceded him earlier that year. Her brother James Ingram passed away in 2010. A private memorial service will be held in April in Tucson, AZ. Arthur Jr. can be contacted at artfjr@gmail.com.
