Obituary of Susanne S. Snyder

Susanne Snyder March 28th, 1933 - January 18th, 2020 Susanne 'Sue' Snyder of Tucson, Arizona passed away after her battle with Alzheimer's on January 18th, 2020. Born in Philadelphia, PA she moved to Tucson with her family in 1978. She and her husband Robert were lifelong companions having been married 66 years. She is survived by Robert and her children, Karen and Lon Chaney, Stephen and Cynthia Snyder, Tim and Pamela Johnston all of Tucson, Karl and Neatha Snyder of Shawnee, KS and Christopher Snyder of Mesa, AZ. Sue was "Grams" to 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Sue loved swimming and was a member of the Haverford High School swim team. She was an avid reader and a cherished homemaker, learning many crafts like decoupage, restoring furniture and antiquing. She was known by her friends as a superb cook and hostess and by her sons as a dedicated hockey mom. Sue had an adventurous personality and loved to travel with Bob to many destinations around the country and around the world, her favorites being Hong Kong and Bali. Proud of her heritage Sue is preceded in death by her Albanian parents Peter and Elizabeth Stephanos, her brother Robert Stephanos and sister Madeline Christman. Sue will be remembered for her beautiful smile, and as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. A memorial mass will be held at St. Odilia's Church, 7570 N. Paseo del Norte, Tucson, Arizona 85704 at noon on Monday Jan 27th, 2020. In lieu of flowers the family suggest a donation to the Alzheimer's Foundation. https://alzfdn.org/support-us/donate/
