Obituary of Alexis Rosas

Alexis Danelle Rosas, of Tucson, AZ died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the tender age of 24. Alexis was born to parents Mary Louise Rosas, and Marvin Hollie Jr. on August 21, 1995 in Corsicana, TX. And later relocated to Tucson, Arizona in 2005. Alexis grew up as the youngest of four and graduated from Mountain View High School. Alexis attended Pima Community College and aspired to continue to work toward her degree in Psychology to assist and support others in need. Alexis was funny, clever, and made us laugh uncontrollably. Her very presence would light up the room and she could lift anyone with her smile. Alexis loved to converse and was extremely intelligent. She loved long discussions on life and what the future had instore for her. Unbeknownst to many, Alexis had a deep understanding of how people relate to each other. Empathy. This in my opinion, perhaps the most important quality of humanity - it transcends us, and one which becomes even more important for a future bound with the quickened collisions of cultures and ideas of this world and possibly beyond. Authenticity was at the core of her ability to love and be kind -- her affections sparing no one, even those unwilling, unworthy or simply incapable. We were fortunate enough to begin to truly understand her life the complexity and intrigue of which we will ruminate upon forever. Alexis is survived by her Brothers, Michael Carpio (Jenna Escalante), Noel Carpio; her Sister, Celeste Carpio, her Aunt Angela Hollie, her Cousins De'Andre Hollie, Kimberly Hollie, her Niece Laila Houston, her Nephew Cruz Carpio, her Grandmother Lorraine Hollie. She is preceded in death by her Grandmother Mary Ann Rosas and Grandfather Marvin Hollie Sr., and her Uncle Mark Hollie.
