I could not be more proud or more grateful than to say that Gordon Shaw was my Godfather. A finer man you will never find. He was fascinating just to know. When I was young, I was always amazed by his stories of military service overseas. His employer 3M sent him to New Zealand for several years, and to this day I still cherish the calendars he and my Godmother Carol used to send to me. Even now as I write this my mind is awash in a flood of happy memories: his skill playing the organ and taking photographs, his beloved reel to reel audio tape machine (the only one I have ever seen), endless tales of traveling the globe, the picture perfect home in Edina, Minnesota. God bless you Gordon Shaw. Be at peace now again with your wonderful wife. Thank you for being a part of my life.
