Obituary of Gilbert Alexander Casiraghi
Gilbert Alexander Casiraghi Jr., 68, passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2019. He was a Tucson resident since the age of 7. He attended Canyon Del Oro High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp soon after where he worked as an aircraft mechanic. He retired from the US Postal Service 7 years ago after 33 years of service.
Gil is survived by his loving family; wife, Audrey;daughter,Melissa;son-in-law, Markus;3 beautiful grandchildren, Kai, Noa and Arlee Rose. He is also survived by brother, Keith(Gay) Casiraghi of Sonoita and sister, Dorothy(Kurt)Sandstrom of Pittsburgh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Casiraghi, Gilbert Casiraghi Sr. and sister, Lynn Casiraghi.
A Memorial Service will be held at Adair Funeral Home, 8090 N Northern Ave., Oro Valley AZ 85704, on Sunday, January 5 at 2pm. USMC ceremony will be held the next morning, Monday January 6, 11am at Veteran's Memorial Cemetery 15950 N Luckett Rd, Marana AZ.
Aside from his family and dear friends, Gil's passion was aircraft and flying. He attended the OshKosh Air Show annually for 28 years. He obtained his private pilot license and how he loved flying, either on his own, or with good friends who shared his passion. ...and now he is flying with the angels.
