Obituary of David Daniel Seymour

David Daniel Seymour, 44, a native Tucsonan, passed away on December 1, 2019. He was born November 10, 1975, to Daniel and Gladys (Busch) Seymour. In May of 1994, Dave graduated from Amphitheater High School. On December 10, 1999, he married Angel Stokes at Northwest Baptist Church in Tucson. The happy couple welcomed their first daughter, Abbey Mae, in May 2001. To better provide for his young family, Dave joined and graduated from the first Southwest Ambulance Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) class in 2002. In April 2006, Dave and Angel welcomed their second daughter, Maggie Rose. After working as an EMT for nearly 15 years, he reached a career goal and became an operations supervisor for American Medical Response (AMR). He served as a first responder in the Tucson community for more than 17 years. Dave is survived by his wife of 20 years, Angel Seymour; daughters, Abbey and Maggie; parents, Dan and Gladys; and other beloved family, friends, and his work family. It is difficult to summarize "Delicious Dave." His first love was always his wife and daughters. Dave's love for his girls brought out his inner child and many fun voices. Dave's larger than life personality was second only to his outrageous sense of humor. He had charisma for days. These traits made Dave popular in life and at work. He was known to dance and sing in the halls and trucks of AMR, bringing smiles to patients and colleagues alike. Dave's love for his work can be summarized by the lyrics in his ringtone: "I'm on vacation every single day because I love my occupation." Dave's final act of service to others was organ donation, fulfilling his motto, "I spent my career saving lives. Why wouldn't I do the same in my death?" Service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Oro Valley Church Of The Nazarene at 10am.
