Obituary of Donald W Robison

Donald W. Robison, Sr., 82 … Born in Pittsburg Kansas on August 28, 1937 and passed on Oct. 26, 2019 in Tucson, AZ. Don had a twin sister, Donna, who passed away as a baby and Don felt she was his guardian angel who watched over and protected him throughout his life. He married the love of his life Marge (Hansen) of Warren, PA in 1962. They were married for 48 years and lived in Nevada and California during their early years of marriage, but settled in Tucson for the remainder of their lives. Marge preceded Don in death nine years ago. Survived by children, Don Jr., Donna (Craig), and grandson Austin (Tabitha), brothers Roger (Pat) and Chris (Cece), sister Bonnie, sister's in law Peg and Barb (Ralph Sr.), and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sisters Donna (his twin), Ilene and Loretta and brothers Ron and Jerry. Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hancock and was stationed in San Diego. His Navy travels took him to Hawaii and Japan. Don and Marge had two children (Don Jr. and Donna) and one grandson (Austin). He was a wonderful father and was very active in his kid's activities - coaching baseball, softball, and bowling, as well as fishing, camping, and shooting. He was talented in construction and fixing just about everything. Don worked as a glazier and insulation installer. Not one to sit around, after retirement, he was a self-employed maintenance man for private homes and apartments. Don found joy in serving in his church, especially at the Bishop's Storehouse, where he could help families in need. Throughout his life, Don had courage in the face of adversity and remained courageous throughout his final years after being diagnosed with dementia. Don was known for his humble nature, faith, and love of family, God and Jesus. Don's greatest legacy is his family and his kindness for everyone. He will be missed greatly by family and friends. Memorial on Sat. Nov. 16, 1:00pm at Adair Funeral Home Dodge Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make donation to Alzheimer's Association.
