Obituary of Arlene Edna Lenox
Arlene Edna Lenox was born February 9, 1927 in Rolla, Missouri and passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 in Aurora, Colorado at the age of 92 1/2. She was preceded in death by her husband David Taylor Lenox Jr, parents Orlan and Edna Ethel King, sister Edith Rose King. She is survived by a son David Taylor Lenox III of Tucson and daughter Carol Louise Shults of Aurora, Colorado, two Granddaughters and one Grandson, Sheri LeAnn Schneider (Cliff) of Tucson, Melissa Erin Stein (Mark) of Aurora, Colorado and Jeffrey Scott Shults (Emily) of Thornton, Colorado, three Great-Granddaughters, Brittney Loren Schneider (Lee), Ashley Lynne Fernandez (Alex) of Tucson, Addison Taylor Stein of Aurora, Colorado and three Great-Grandsons Jacob Scott and Cameron Blake Shults of Thornton, Colorado and Mason Tyler Stein of Aurora, Colorado, three Great-Great Grandchildren Emma Lee Parker and Jackson Emmitt Parker, Jameson Alexander Fernandez of Tucson, Arizona
She grew up in Rolla, Missouri and married David also in Rolla on April 6, 1947. After spending a few years in Missouri they moved to Arizona first to Prescott and then to Tucson where they remained. She worked for Tucson Unified School District first as a secretary in various schools and then moved to the Finance department where she was responsible for auditing the schools books. She retired in 1988. She moved to Colorado around 2004 to be near her daughter and her family there.
She was full of life, a fire ball, sensitive, playful, loved to play many games and cards, was very active and hard working. She had many friends that loved her, and she loved them, she volunteered her time to church, Lions club (in Tucson and Aurora), joined the Eastern Star in Aurora and LOVED bowling. She loved her family very much and they loved her in return!
Services will be held on Saturday, 10/19 at 12:00noon at Christ Presbyterian Church 6565 E. Broadway Blvd, Tucson. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
