Obituary of Joseph Loughney
Joseph Raymond Loughney, 84, of Tucson, AZ passed away on October 10, 2019.
He was born on August 2, 1935 to Joseph and Mae (Lyons) Loughney in Manhattan, NY. He earned Masters degrees at both Loyola University and Governor's State University in Illinois. He was a social worker specializing in Alcohol and Drug abuse in various facilities in the Tucson area. On October 27, 1956 he married Nancy (Hosek) Loughney.
He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church of Tucson, Arizona and a friend of Bill W.
Joseph was preceded in death by Nancy Loughney and son James Joseph Loughney.
He is survived by his loving companion Wanda Craig; Two Daughters, Laura Ann Lazzari of Winfield, IL and Lynn Theresa Klump of Bloomington, IL; Two Sons, Timothy James Loughney of Fox River Grove, IL and Joseph Robert Loughney of Tucson, AZ; And 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Visitation will be held at Adair Avalon Chapel, Oro Valley, AZ on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 3-8 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Tucson Arizona. Reception to follow service at St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
Procession will follow with full military honors to be conducted at gravesite ceremony at Evergreen Cemetery.
