Obituary of Robert Carlin
Rev. Deacon Robert P. Carlin, born October 1, 1944; died August 31, 2019. He leaves behind his beloved family: wife, Amelia; daughter, Stephanie and son-in law Bill; son, Steven and wife Liz; five grandchildren: Sarah, Bill, Zach, Daniel, and Madelyn. Preceded by his first wife Karen on December 20, 2000.
Robert served proudly in the United States Navy from 1963-1969, including time in Vietnam. He went on to obtain a college degree; later spending another four years completing his diaconate studies. Robert was ordained June 14, 2003 by Most Reverend Bishop Kicanas. He served at three hospitals as a Chaplin, a hospice, and a nursing home.
In 2017, he wrote and published a book "Quietly Moving Mountains, A Witness" about his life and his faith.
Deacon Robert P. Carlin belongs to the Parish of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton where he had served since 1983.
