Obituary of Ricardo Pargas

Our beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle, Ricardo Pargas, 67, passed away on June 30, 2019 in the White Mountains of Arizona. Ricardo is survived by his loving spouse, Terry (née Kin) of 48 years; son, Rick (Marisa); daughter, Lisa (Scott); grandchildren, Celina, Adrian, Antonio, Alyssa, and Raquel; brothers and sisters, Carlos (Celia), Nelia (Gustavo), Ventura (Sylvia), Carmen (Carlos), and Armando (Denise); and, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bentura Pargas and Marina (née Cruz) Pargas. Ricardo was born on October 22, 1951 in Uvalde, Texas. He grew up in Marana, Arizona where he graduated from Marana High School in 1969 and married the love of his life, Terry Kin, on June 4, 1971. Employed with ASARCO mining company for 40 years, Ricardo worked as a Mill Supervisor until he retired in 2011. Ricardo was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. His greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. His favorite place was the White Mountains where he loved spending his summers with Terry and his dog, Bella. Known as an avid huntsman and fisherman, he enjoyed these hobbies with his family. He whole-heartedly cared for his loved ones and friends, had a great sense of humor, and was welcoming to everyone he met. Ricardo embodied joy and kindness, and is leaving a legacy of love that will reverberate for generations. Funeral services will be held at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Marana, Arizona on Friday, July 5, 2019. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00AM followed by the celebration of Mass at 10:30AM. Interment will take place at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson, Arizona. Online condolences can be sent to the family at adairfuneralhomes.com .
