He was our adopted "Uncle Charlie". We first met him when exploring Tubac, Arizona back in 2008. We bought land through him the next year (he was a real estate agent in his retirement) for a future retirement home. Surprise - we received his standard followup lunch invitation. And so blossomed a friendship that lasted over a decade. Every year, when we made our pilgrimage from Massachusetts to Tubac, we always penciled in lunch at Wisdom's Cafe with Charlie. We exchanged holiday family newsletters, attended Tubac annual events with him, traded advice and stories of our respective adventures. Alas, time passes and so has our uncle, and for that we are sad and poorer, but we will always be richer for knowing him. Clear sailing, Uncle Charlie. We will miss you!
