A Southern good ole boy and an Italian Northerner somehow crossed paths in a family resort In Vermont (the Tyler Place on Lake Champlain). Barbara "Boatdock" soon entered the mix. Lee and I became very good friends and spent many special moments together. We were both competitive, but loved playing against each other, mainly tennis and ping pong. I learned a lot of stuff from him in ping pong, and I have since proudly passed these tricks along to my son and grandson. Distance was never a negative factor in keeping us close. For me it was Virginia, for him it was New jersey, Colorado, Oregon and Arizona. Long before e-mail, we stayed in touch via telephone and occasional visits. One of our happiest memories was that we survived a potentially disastrous flip of his Dad;s VW bug on the New York Throughway when we were both still in college, on the way to Michigan State for "blind dates.". Both Red Sox fans, we have the emotional scars to prove it, at least up until 2004! We shared a love of reading, often writing back and forth on the latest thing we read. Lee leaves a huge gap in the life of his family, but he leaves a big one in mine as well. I miss you "Hoo-dee-chee!"

Lee & the rest of the Guidicis hold a special place in my heart, where all my happiest childhood memories are. As a tween/teen I loved playing ping pong with him; he taught me how to hit a mean backhand. I also loved to spend time in his study, a magical place to me where the walls were lined with shelves of books. I love you Lee, you were a joy to be with.

May a beautiful tree in Lee's memory stand as tall as he did!

Late in coming just found out. Knew Lee from his Bedford childhood. Sitting diagonally in front of him virtually every class in high school. Thanks to alphabetical seating. Still remember that smile. Always a really nice person.
My condolences to his family
