Betti Fujikado posted a condolence
Dear Bob and family - My heart is with you all as you remember such a vibrant, strong, intelligent, determined and, I can see, loving wife and mother. I joined PW shortly after Linda was named partner. Although she was incredibly engaging and approachable, I still held her in such awe as the first woman partner and one of my first role models. It was, and still is, important for women to have someone like Linda to admire, learn from and emulate. I talk about her frequently even today as the trailblazer. I also hold her in my memories as the smiling, but direct, woman who told me in an elevator one day, "Betti, fashion is one thing, but we have a professional expectation to uphold. You might want to tame down your hair in the morning before coming to work. It should only take a little more time in the morning." Yes, I'd gotten some weird stack perm from the 70s that was, I admit, a bit wild. Mortified, I returned the next day and every day thereafter with more "suitable" hair. Small thing, but the experience taught me you could deliver bad news in a way that didn't hurt, professional appearances matter (especially then), and the belief that Linda was going to look out for me. I am so proud to have worked with her. With deep sympathy, Betti Fujikado (PW '77-80)

Cathy Hylton posted a condolence
Dear Bob, Christine and Steven - Linda was an instrumental piece in my decision to join Price Waterhouse over 38 years ago. It was so impressive to join a Firm who already had a female partner. She was also an inspiration to me as I raised my family and became a partner. As I look back on all that I was able to experience with PwC, I know that Linda's perseverence in the early years was a critical piece of my success. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, Cathy Hylton

Linda's family: I did not have the opportunity to meet Linda but I feel that I benefited greatly by her legacy. I am a female assurance partner in Seattle and so appreciate the "ceilings" she broke for all of us to benefit from the experience of working at PwC. Thank you for her courage, determination and grit! Best, Kelly Keller PwC Partner Seattle WA

It was an honor and privilege to work with Linda. Linda's laughter and sense of style will be something I always will remember about her. Thank you Bob, for letting us be a part of Linda's care. With deep sympathy, Debra McPherson, Arizona Care Advocates
