Eleanor Jean May, better known as EJ, passed away on April 9, 2019, in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 98. EJ was born on November 3rd, 1920 in Red Oak, Iowa to her parents Harry and Myra Petty. After graduating from Red Oak High School she attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Missouri. Three years later they returned to Shenandoah with their young daughter Annette. Later another daughter Karen and son Ed joined the family. Upon retirement EJ and Ed moved to Tucson for the warm weather. Each summer they returned to their cabin in northern Wisconsin, a place loved. EJ was active in PEO, the Shenandoah Congregational Church, the Assistance League of Tucson and the Manitowish Waters Community Church. She was a wonderful spouse, mother and friend and will be missed by many. EJ is survived by daughters Karen (Jim) Sislo, Annette Marra, son Ed (Carrie) May along with 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to the Manitowish Waters Community Church, P.O. Box 69, Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin, 54545.
