Obituary of Patricio Mayoral

Patricio Mayoral, 38, of Tucson, Arizona passed away unexpectedly on March 24, 2019 at his residence. He was born on July 7, 1980 to Jaime Mayoral and Margarita Serrano in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Roberto Clemente Community Academy in 1999. After graduating, he studied masonry while attending Chicago Job Corps and continued his education at Lincoln Technical Institute studying automotive. In April 2003, Patricio enlisted in the United States Army as a Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator-Maintainer serving with the 1st Cavalry Division in Fort Hood, TX. He would go on to become a highly decorated Non-Commissioned Officer for his humanitarian efforts during Hurricane Katrina and excellence in battle during the Iraq war. Some of these awards include: Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medals, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation, Army Good Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Army Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbons and Combat Action Badge. He served two tours in Iraq deploying from January 2004 to February 2005. Shortly after returning from his first deployment, he would meet and marry his wife Jennifer Lynn Madison on June 26, 2006 and deploy afterwards for his second tour from October 2006 to November 2007. After his honorable discharge in March 2008, his wife and firstborn son (Marcellus) would settle in Tucson, AZ where he began his career working in the mining industry as a Sales Account Manager for GroundProbe North America LLC and Hexagon Mining. Patricio enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, riding his motorcycle, traveling, BBQing, swimming, gaming and watching anime. Patricio is survived by his loving wife of almost 13 years, Jennifer, two sons Marcellus Giovani (11),Ronin Santino (1.5 years), and a daughter Yashira Victoria (8). He is also survived by his mother Margarita Serrano and an older brother, Ed Nieves. He is preceded in death by his father Jaime Mayoral. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 31, 2019, 2:00pm-3:00pm at Adair Avalon Chapel, Oro Valley, AZ. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019, 3:00 pm with Pastor Steve Main, officiating. Memorials and condolences can be given at adairfuneralhomes.com.
