Obituary of Margaret Ellen Mariani
Margaret Ellen Mariani, born January 4, 1939 in Brockton, MA, returned to the astral plane February 6, 2019 in the embrace of her large loving family and many friends. Abandoned as a child, Margaret spent her formative years in the care of the New England Home for Little Wanderers; a puissant source of love and support to a nascent soul, for which she remained forever grateful. Later, years of abusive foster care tempered by a refined education in New England boarding schools forged the dichotomy that would define her life; grace and fury, indomitable strength and illimitable sensitivity, abject vulnerability and absolute fearlessness. Though she ultimately settled in Arizona, she always longed for her New England home. With the help of family, we will see that your wish is granted. Survived by her younger sister Laurie Kampa and brother George Hines, ex-husband Joseph Mariani Sr., her loving companion Wes, her sons Joseph Jr., John, Stephen and Mark, her daughters Donna, Linda and daughter in-law Lisa, her grandchildren Lindsay, Michael, Mason, Daniel, Katie, Danielle, Maddie, Makenna and Emma and her great grandchildren Gavin, Alex and Vinnie. She is reunited with her granddaughter Bethany, whose heartbreaking and untimely loss weighed heavy on her soul. We love and miss you so very much. Your humor, strength and unconditional love will remain with us all forever. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Friday March 22nd at 6:30PM at Adair Dodge Chapel, 1050 N Dodge Blvd. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Margaret's name to her favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, would make her smile.
