Washburn, Charles. Charles "Charlie" R. Washburn Jr. Born: Port Huron, Michigan on March 3, 1925. Died: Tucson Arizona on February 20, 2019. Visitation: Thursday, February 28th, 2019 - Adair Funeral Home, 5-8 PM. Entombment: Friday, March 1st, 2019 - South Lawn, 1 PM. Memorial Service: Sunday March 3rd, 2019 - Christ Church United Methodist, 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Peppi's House or Friends of the Library. Charles "Charlie" R. Washburn Jr. was born in Port Huron Michigan on March 3rd, 1925. He passed on February 20th, 2019, 11 days short of his 94th birthday. He is survived by 3 sons and their spouses, 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Alice. Charles graduated Tucson High School and graduated with High Distinction with a BA in Accounting from the University of Arizona where he met his wife. Charlie was involved in many community programs to include: Friends of the Library, 4-H, Tucson Stamp and Coin Club, Men's Garden Club, Y-Indian Guides, Highland Vista Pool and the Sunday Evening Forum. The family wishes to give their deepest gratitude to Peppi's House.
