Obituary of James William Herndon
James William Herndon" Jimmy" was born October 26, 1959 in Miami, Florida and passed away on December 8, 2018 in Tucson AZ, at the age of 59, after a long battle with liver disease.
Jimmy, in hopes of "helping others," donated his body to the Southwest Institute of Bio-Advancement, located in Tucson AZ.
Jimmy's profession was an Over-the-road commercial truck driver, which he did for 35 years. Jimmy was an accomplished percussionist and freelance photographer.
He was preceded in death by his father; Clyde V. Herndon Sr, his mother Betty J. Herndon Nigro, his brother Clyde V Herndon Jr. He is survived by his 3 sisters: Elaine, Jeanette, (Randy), Jayne, 3 nieces,2 nephews and 7 great nephews. Most importantly, Jimmy's legacy left to family and friends are many happy memories that will always cause us to smile, because of his perfect Love and Faith in Jesus.
During his time in Tucson AZ, Jimmy became an active member of the Ebenezer Seventh Day Adventist church and lead percussionist in the Ebenezer SDA church praise band, which Jimmy said was a longtime dream.
We can only pray that when we close our eyes to sleep in the Lord Jesus, that our faith will be as wonderfully secure as Jimmy's is.
Rest in peace Little Brother.
