Betty S Edwards posted a condolence
My heartfelt-sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Gary. To you that don’t know me-I am a cousin of Gary’s. His mother was my Dad’s (Guy Sumrell) sister. We sort of grew up together along with the other Sumrell children of Aunt Dot’s brothers. I always looked up to Aunt Dot and Uncle Johnny. It’s like I remember my older sister saying when Uncle Johnny passed away-“she felt like the rock of the family had left.” I am sure that is how each of you are feeling now about Gary. He has left, but so important is your knowing his profession of Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior. I do pray that your memories of your love-one will also help sustain you during this most difficult time of your lives. Most Sincerely, Betty S Edwards

Just today, I had confirmed the news of the passing of my friend Gary. Though I am quite saddened by this, it brings me joy to know of his relationship with Jesus. Gary and I go back many years in our relationship, as we both started with Electrolux as teenagers during the truly good old days. We became especially close during our later years before retirement. My thoughts and prayers are with Cyd, Kirk and all of Gary's family. Rest in peace my ole friend until we meet again one day in heaven.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Gary's passing. Working with Gary, I watched him take many young people under his wing and mentor them without them even knowing. It was a sight to see. If Gary saw potential in someone, he would mentor them and you had a friend. He impacted many lives around him. Gary helped me reach for my dreams. He helped me to believe in myself and my abilities. I am grateful for that. But most of all, Gary was my friend. We kept in touch over the years and I will miss talking with him. Cyd, you are in my prayers. Love you.

Gary lived his life his way no matter where the gains and losses took in. I am sure that being Gary was not always easy but never ever boring. Sharon and I have fond memories of the many trips we earned from Electrolux while Gary headed to corporate office. We earned those trips as a team and enjoyed them as a family that Gary was part of.- Dave and Sharon Churchey from Reno, Nevada

In my first years with Electrolux, Gary was my Area Vice President while I was in Minneapolis Mn and my National Vice President when I relocated to Phoenix AZ My memories of field sales with Gary goes back as far as early 80’s. I will never forget the first road trip I took with Gary, a small town Glencoe MN. It was the introduction of the very first Upright by Electrolux, the DII. We canvassed out and sold 42 units in 3 days. Gary was a great teacher, a mentor, a motivator, and at the same time a great friend. I am as as strong as I am in Sales because of Gary. The only Company Executive in my 40 year career who was never afraid to roll up his sleeves and knock on some doors with his Sales Consultants. He will be missed and always remembered, as a true Electrolux Legend. Our Condolences to the Griffin family as we all celebrate Gary’s incredible life. Siraj and Darla Bilgrami Phoenix AZ

Dee and I offer our support thoughts and prayers to the entire Griffin Family at what is surely a difficult time with the passing of Mr Gary Griffin. We got to know Gary through the Electrolux Business in many ways and that relationship turned into a more personable relationship through the years. From the business side He would often travel with me to visit locations through out my Divisions in Upstate New York then later though out Regional Territories. We would recruit, run meetings, sell in the field, and of coarse he alway's found time to help mentor the people he came in contact with well after the visit's were over. We started every day in the gym and most day's he went to the gym again at the end of the day while I got ready for the next full day. We became golfing buddies often finding time to play during the location visit's,while on company VIP and convention trips all over the world and when ever we were in the same area of the country. Some trips we played everyday sometimes 2-3 rounds a day he loved golf . Glad to hear Gary found Jesus.I haven't seen Gary for several years but he looked happy and at peace in the photo's posted.I have many good memories to hang onto ,may you rest in peace.Maybe will play once again in another time. My heart is broken for the Griffin family today. I knew Gary because I work for his brother Kirk. We would always meet together when he came to the Outer Banks. It was fun times...Psalms 34:18 tells us that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. I am so sorry for your loss. May the peace that passes all understanding be with all of you through these days... Bettie Jean Dotson

My sincere condolences to the family. I have known Gary for many years due to my association with his brother Kirk. I visited with Gary a few times when he lived on the outer banks of North Carolina. He loved the game of golf at which he was pretty good. I am so sorry that he is no longer with us. May the fond memories of his time with us help to ease the pain of his passing.

I’ll always remember coming to visit Geandma Griffin and playing with Uncle Gary. He used to tickle and wrestle and throw me and call me “Anna May in the hay” I’m so proud of the man you became Uncle Gary. I look forward to seeing you one day again in Heaven. Love you!
