Obituary of Lon Franklin Jackson

JACKSON, Lon Franklin died September 29, 2018. He was born in Thealka, Kentucky, and he spent much of his life in southern Ohio. As a young adult, Lon worked as an auto mechanic and, when he was in the Peace Corps, he taught many students how to fix their vehicles. Lon moved to Tucson in 1980 and received a degree in electronics. He worked in that field for several years before he became disabled. Lon survived many physical hardships throughout his later years but always managed to stay active, spend quality time with his family and pets, travel, and read mystery and adventure novels. Last May, Lon was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer, and despite his efforts to prolong his life, he lost the battle. Lon was a loving husband and father and is greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived his wife, Elizabeth and his son, Shea. Many thanks are in order, to the kind and caring staff at Peppi's House. Donations may be made to Pima Animal Care Center or other worthy charity. A celebration of life will be held in December. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
