Obituary of William C Farney

William C. Farney, 77, of Tucson passed away on September 12, 2018 in his home in Tucson, AZ. He was born on April 4, 1941 to Thomas and Lillian (Hartwig) Farney in Springfield, IL. The Farney family moved to Tucson, AZ where William (Bill) graduated from Tucson High School and then from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Bill married Rafaela (Carmona) on April 15, 1981. They had two children, Thomas Farney and Karrie Sheffield. Bill was retired, but was currently working as the Orchard Manager at Aravaipa Farms. Bill was a beloved husband, father and tata. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Rafaela, son Thomas Farney, daughter Karrie Sheffield and granddaughters Katarina and Victoria. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Patrick Farney and his mother Lillian Elizabeth Myers. Bill's favorite times were those spent with his family and he especially loved family vacations at the beach. Bill adored his granddaughters, and he was so proud to be their Tata. He showered them with endless hugs and love. He also loved Aravaipa Canyon and was so happy to have the opportunity to spend a lot of time there in the recent months at Aravaipa Farms.
