Obituary of Gary Robert Lynn

LYNN, Gary Robert peacefully passed away on Sept. 4, 2018, at home with his family. He was born in Honolulu, HA on Jan 23, 1947 to Robert M. Lynn and Florence Evelyn (Copley) Lynn. He moved to Arizona in 1962 and graduated from Buena High School in Sierra Vista and attended the UA. He worked in retail in Tucson at JC Penney's, Goldwyn's Dept. Store, Southern Mills Linens, as well as Southern Mills Carpet and Tile. He was happiest being with his family and extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother, sister Janis Hogan, and niece Brooke Hogan. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ruth Ann (Tharp) and three sons, Scott (Deena), Michael (Christina), and Douglas. He is survived by four grandchildren, Zach, Megan, Ethan, and Marissa Lynn. He is survived by his father, two sisters, Gayla Royston (Robert) and Pamela Allen (Toby), and numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, and he adored all of them. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, David (Gloria) Tharp and Tom Tharp. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church 8051 E.
