hey dad its been awhile since we last talked, last time we talked it was the night right before you passed. you told me you would take me to lunch at culvers right down the street from my house. That was our favorite place to eat, then you said you would take me to the mall to buy clothes for school because school was about to start in two weeks. you were going to wait outside the stores so no boys could go in and talk to me. Then we ended with the same old i love you. that was the last thing i told you was that i loved you, im glad that i said that because you left with reassurance that i still loved you. you always went through so weird phases that i didnt love you or didnt want to see you, but i still loved you no matter what mood i was in or what mood you were in. i don't really talk to people about how i feel, i feel better closed off i feel like its better to cope with myself in that way, and you once told me it was okay for me to stay to myself. when july 18th comes it will be a year, your not going to be there for my big sixteen or to teach me how to drive all though you may not physically be there you will still be there mentally with me mentally and thats what counts and i need to remind myself to keep the faith.
