I was a foreign student from Venezuela (1967-1972) and took classes from Prof Toma on Soviet Foreign Policy. I recall his stern comments and outlook for the USSR and its satellites. He definitely knew the subject, and had an idea about the future in Western Europe. I think he would be sad and disappointed with the turn of events in our universities and how deeply socialist thoughts and ideas have become embedded in our schools.
