Obituary of Barbara Hamant

HAMANT, Barbara, age 90, passed away on May 13, 2018. She was preceded by her husband, Lt. Col. Vincent Hamant, who died February 1, 2008. She is survived by two sons, Michael MD (Lynnell Gardner, MD) and their children, Richard and Laura and John (Thelma) and his son, Craig. Barbara was born in Chicago, a graduate of the U of Illinois at age 19, and a happy military wife traveling the world with Vince including Japan, Hawaii, and Italy. After Air Force retirement they lived in Flagstaff, AZ for nine years where Vince was the architect for NAU, then in private architecture practice until moving to Tucson in 1978. Barbara will be buried with Vince at Arlington National Cemetery. No services are planned per her wishes. Donations may be made in her name to the ASPCA.
