Obituary of Carol McGorray

Carol McGorray, 77, passed away on 3/22/18. She was the mother of 7 children, had 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. She is survived by her sister, Joan Donahoe, her children, Kathy Gallagher (married to Jay), Meg Panknin (married to Creagh), Tom McGorray (married to Kathi), Lara Markes (married to Gus), Teresa Yungkurth (married to Kurt), Maureen Dykinga (married to Pete). She is pre-deceased by her son, Matt McGorray. Carol was born in Newton, Massachusetts. She lived in many locations around the US and settled in her beloved Tucson/Marana area for the past 42 years. She lived a full life, never shying away from a challenge. Carol worked hard raising her children, working for Marana School District, and for the past 19 years, in her role as a Marana Town Council Member. She contributed to countless charities, and her passion for building the Marana community never waned. Carol was not a collector of many things, but she cherished mementos that documented her children's greatest life moments both large and small. Services will be held at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton on April 4,2018 at 11 am. A reception in the church hall will follow.
