Obituary of Patricia N. Cross

CROSS, Patricia N. passed away on February 18, 2018 in Tucson, AZ. Pat was born on March 17, 1927 in Howardstown, KY, the eighth and youngest child of William Newton and Margaret Green, and was raised in Louisville, KY. She began her adventures as a teen working at Western Union in Chicago. She later worked in Denver, Montana and San Francisco before heading to Yokohama, Japan where she worked for the Army AF Exchange Service. After her adventures in Japan she entered the convent in Peekskill, NY. Later, deciding the cloistered life was not for her, she worked briefly in Virginia before returning to Louisville where she met and married Dara Cross, Jr. and worked as a legal secretary. After Dara's death in 1982, Pat moved briefly to Albuquerque, NM before retiring to Tucson. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the caregivers at San Nicolas Senior Living and Casa de la Luz Hospice who made Pat's later years comfortable. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, AVALON CHAPEL.
