Obituary of Timothy A. Clark
Timothy Clark passed away at home on February 26th, 2018 surrounded by his family in Tucson. Born in Mt. Sterling, Illinois on June 30th, 1948, Tim came to Tucson as a boy. After graduating from Amphitheater High School, he enlisted in the US Army and served as a combat medic in his unit, The Big Red One, in Vietnam where he earned the Bronze Star with Valor and attained the rank of Specialist 5th Class. Upon returning home, he became an important member of the community serving as a police officer and chief pilot for the Tucson Police Air Support Unit for many years. He was one of the original officers who started this unit. After retiring from the TPD, he continued to serve his fellow officers as an important leader and organizer for TPOA and AZCOPS. He loved God, his family, and his friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Pat, and is survived by his wife Gerry of 48 years, his twin-brother Tom, brothers Bill and Mike, his children Pam, Shannon, and Scott, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and too many friends to count. Public viewing will be on Thursday, March 1st, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Adair Funeral Home Avalon Chapel, Oro Valley. Services will be on Friday, March 2nd at Canyon Del Oro Baptist Church at 10:00 AM, and interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery on Saturday, March 3rd at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Casa de la Luz Foundation, 7740 N Oracle Rd. 85704.
