Obituary of Mary Ellen Wright
Mary Ellen Wright, 78, died in her home on February 9, 2018 with family by her side. She was weary from suffering and longed to be at home with her Savior.
Mary Ellen thrived on adventure and was never hesitant to become the Good Samaritan, having great empathy for those less fortunate. She had a passion for helping people. She was quick to make new friends while cherishing the old. She loved music and singing. She was a gifted pianist, never having taken a lesson.
She was delighted by the antics of small children, their honesty, sincerity and their incredible energy. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were a source of great pride. Mary Ellen delighted in a good story or joke and was quick to laugh. She was head-strong and stubborn and someone you certainly wanted on your side. While she will be greatly missed, the thought of her arrival to "a land that is fairer than day", brings great peace and assurance to those who love her. She leaves behind, her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Michael Townsend, daughter, Terri Franco, son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Monica Wright, son, Jeff Wright, grandchildren, Adam (Elena) and Eric Townsend, Tim (Ashley) and Nicole Franco, Ryann, Courtney and Brooke Wright, Justin, Jesse and Jordan Wright, great grandchildren, Jude, Cooper, Nevaeh, Eoghan, Justin Jr. Troy Jeffrey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. Wright, an infant son, Gerald, Jr., her parents, Charles and Dorothy Walters, siblings, Patty Comer and Joan Walters.
