Obituary of Dean Lyndon Holcomb

Dean Lyndon Holcomb, aged 75, died peacefully, surrounded by his immediate family, on January 30th, 2018, in Tucson, Arizona. Dean was born in 1942 in Olean, NY to Ethelyn and Mark Holcomb. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, two daughters, Rebecca (Jeni) and Sarah (Arleigh IV) Harrett and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Benjamin, Gillian, Camille and Arleigh V. Dean was predeceased by two brothers, Lee and Earl Holcomb. Dean lived much of his life in upstate New York and spent the last ten years of his life in Tucson. He was a member of the East View Church of Christ. Dean was a landscape and portrait artist, working primarily in pastel chalk or colored pencils. He loved to laugh and had a beautiful singing voice. Dean was an avid gardener, growing much of the family's daily food as well as herbs and flowers. He was gentle and kind, easily making friends with everyone he met. He always preferred to take the scenic way home. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Matthew 5:9. All services will be private
